Acts of violence and torture carried out by the Armed Criminal Group led by Jeffry Pagawak, controlled by activist Benny Wenda, were met with opposition from the Leader of the Papua National Liberation Army, General Augustine PF Kress, commonly known by the nickname Agus Kress or also Jimmy Rocky.
Agus Kress, who served as Deputy Chief of the Papua National Liberation Army Board which based in Victoria PNG, claimed that he had also been tortured by the group so he decided to go down the mountain on January 24, 2020 at 20.08 to 23.30 Local Time and delivered the following testimony;
a. The shooting incident on December 30, 2019 of 713 Infantry Battalion personnel at the Pitewi Village, East Arso District, Keerom District was carried out by 3 Jeffrey’s Pagawak men (Juaris Wurare, Steven Pagawa and Raimon) using 3 standard weapons consist of 2 SS-1 and 1 Angkle Loop weapon.
b. Jeffry Pagawak’s group is one of the Armed Criminal Group led by Benny Wenda, which based in Mavrik / Victorian Headquarters of the refugee camp in PNG, with a strength of 20 people, has 3 standard weapons (2 SS-I, 1 Angkle Loop weapon) and several assembled weapons.
c. Jeffri Pagawak group operates around the border area of the RI-PNG Mountains starting from the West Skoto Moso Refugee Village PNG – West Arso Village to Kibei Village, Bewan Pitewi, East Arso District Keerom regency.
d. The Armed Criminal Group led by Jeffri Pagawak and his network plan to carry out guerrilla actions in the RI-PNG border area and attacks against the security forces to demonstrate their existence, after Jeffrey Pagawak was appointed as the new commander in the RI-PNG Border area.
e. Jeffry Pagawak’s group utilizes the Papuans who now live as refugees in Wutung and the West Coast of Vanimo, West Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea, as a hiding place and as a base to conduct their activities to separate Papua from the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
f. Agus Krees was willing to be invited to meet with the Security Team, because he could not stand the acts of torture and violence carried out by Jeffry Pagawak’s group against him and to other groups

This testimony is expected to open the eyes of the world to the series of violence carried out by Benny Wenda’s group who have so far claiming themselves being intimidated and becoming victims of violence while on the contrary, this group is blindly making trouble and carrying out various acts of intimidation and violence against the Papuans including the killing of Indonesian security members. In addition, Jeffrey Pagawak’s group deliberately use PNG as a safe haven to attack Indonesian security forces.
